Where Was This Photo Taken? (2)
Looks a lot like Kodaikanal to me. You do realize that churches often burn down and get rebuilt, don't you?
I brake for Maddur vadas.

Abracax, is not Kodaikanal, quite far from there.
That would be Mahabalipuram ... Its 40km South of Chennai ... Very good road .... cruise up to that place and you will find hell loads of statues and near by Mahabalipuram you will also find Crocodile Farm ... which is one of the worlds largest and most num of species of crocs there.

Tim.... This one is not easy...The style of this temple is really unfamiliar to me.
Jorge....I cheated. You posted "Hirapur" on your picture! Just the same, I had a great time reading up on the history of this very interesting temple.
For those of you who are interested in temples, well worth a trip to:

find out about the ancient Cult of the Yoginis

I saw it within a few minutes of posting. Thought I should allow others to answer. I have been there...... trekking. Most people go by road, as Tim has [i presume]
Was that a hint?
Another one: You have to chant the namakam chamakam there....
The Universe is an ellipsoid?... or a Spheroid?? If the sphere smiles... it becomes an ellipse. This IS Creation.
