Travel Photo Book
I know that this type of service has been touched on in the Wedding Albums thread, but I just wanted to recommend and raise awareness of it, because if (like me) you have thousands of travel photos languishing on your hard drives, then making a photobook is a brilliant way to appreciate and share them.
I have just made my first photo album on Cewe (http://www.cewe-photoworld.co.uk/pho...-photobook.php ), and to be honest I am amazed with the results. I wasnt even aware that this service existed until March. I decided to give it a go, and collated my favourite 200 photos from my last four trips to South India into the biggest and best of the albums on offer. It took me about three weeks to photoshop them to bring them to their best, and arrange them in the album, as well as choosing my own backgrounds and frames. One week after uploading it, a 12" x 12" hardcover book arrived in the post, and WOW I am very proud and delighted with the result Just incase this sounds too much like an advert for one particular company, I know that there are others that provide the same service: Quote:
With a bit of time and easy effort (and £87) I have now got my very own coffee-table photo book that is a great memento of our travels in India, and has helped to show friends and family the real beauty and adventure of India.

I'm glad it worked out for you, did you add much text?
I've seen an example of these books, it was excellent, it was A4 size and I believe it only cost around £40 but he had several printed which may have reduced the cost, and I know there are many options as regards number of pages and paper quality and so on. The only thing putting me off doing this is that I know I'd want to get it right and it would take me forever!

Yes you can certainly do it cheaper, but I got inspired and wanted lots of big pages and a bound hardcover. ![]() Go on Haylo ... even if it takes a year to do it right, you will have it for the rest of your life. |
