The Tokina lens

Can you tell me who got you the lens in Kolkata? His contact details? I need it for my Canon 7D. And have you used Tokina's 35 mm prime lens? Any idea, how's the result?

Go to camera street near CST or Colaba area. There are lots of camera shop which will give you good bargain.

I have not used the Tokina 35 mm prime. You can see the test results by me and albums exclusively by this lens in my Facebook and Orkut account.

Mithu - Leica Camera of Khidderpore 5 star market brought me this lens.

This is a lens on my shopping list for nest year.
In buying lenses there's a great site which gives you examples of photos taken with all sorts of lens body combinations even aperture settings.

Here it is.

No. it is not but he had over 100 boxes and i hceck 20 of them none was sealed..as per him tokina boxes done come sealed..i inspected the lens and it was shining like a gem... u dont need more then that to confirm if the lens is new..anyways even first i was buying with bill and for that also he was giving me the same box.

anywyas i bought it from ria enterprises and their address was given to me by the wholesale dealer of tokina in india..and they will give only that of a reputed place.. and by the way i also felt that the ria enterprises were also very straight forward and trust worthy shop to buy...rest is luck as it is electronics... u never know.

by the way i have written so much...without asking why are u asking if the box was sealed?

regards,
Santiago

Well, I haven't bought anything from grey market yet may be because I don't own any of those expensive lenses Just my curiosity as you got it from grey. All the Canon and Sigma lenses I picked were sealed packs (with bill) though I don't own any Tokina. Btw, this one is in my wish list and hoping for the price to drop a little
