Part of the "problem" is that when buying big "brand" names (eg. Canon & Nikon) you certainly pay an overhead.
But generally, the quality of these lenses is greater than the non-camera brand names (Sigma; Tamron; etc). It also comes down to how much you want to throw at a solution to the question of what lens to use. I'm still looking at getting one more lens to add to the collection - something in a longer focal length than what I currently have. Cheers Zoltan
