Biman, checked with my friend once again, I am sorry, you are right that D700 only comes with body, no kit lens. Now D700 is currently priced with Nikon at 120K, so not sure why their website prints it as 140K (though I have checked it is indeed 140K written in site), yesterday MM quoted me D700 for 110K, so we can safely assume 120K is correct listed price.

This year January the model was being sold to the employees for a whopping 42% discount, yes no typo, it's 42%, so price comes aroung 69.6K, though he can't remember the price exactly, but he is sure about the discount percentage. So my memory was almost correct, it was close to 70K that time but without kit lens (just body)

He said he can't gurantee the same again next year, as D700 is going to be replaced this year and they are not sure if Nikon offers any discount on a phased out model and also the discount percentage varies between year to year and last year it was abnormally high. Seems missed a chance but let's hope, who can say Nikon might surprise with a bigger discount on D800 this year

It's more of a big bazar sale only and the point is you are getting brand new D700 (Note it's not clearence sale or open box item) for that price. But it's only for a very limited time.

Let's see if I can catch it next time.

But what i know is that Nikon has closed manufacturing D700. So i am still in confusing.

No Rohan, those are special offers, we have to wait and watch if Nikon comes up again with some other fabulous offer for their employees. They usually offers this once in a year but you never know whether they would again give a 42% discount on a camera like D700

I confirmed, its still very much in production but yes the plan is to launch D800 this year, so you never know what would be their product strategy after the launch.

In Delhi/NCR the price would be 10% less on the actual price. Apart from the discount, some dealers give 4 GB memory card, UV filter, Tripod, Camera Bag, Screen Protector etc.

Can anyone tell me is there any limitation of videography in nikon d90 like 5 minutes or other, and also about the still photo quality of d90. How much it will be priced in delhi chandni chowk area.
