photography school in india

Hi everybody!

I'm a french student living in Canada and I will go in India next year, for maybe 3 or 4 years. Since few weeks I'm trying to find a very good photography school, or a bachelor in photography, in all the India, and so far I didn't find anything interesting. I really want to study photography not as a hobby but as a job to exerce, I'm ready to take my time to study it, so a full time formation in one or two years would be the best. I'm not trying to attempt for a commercial photo school because I'm passionate with photojournalism and art in general. I wish I could find some advices and good adresses in that forum! If you think you have the good spot I will be so haaaaaaaaaapyyyyyyy to hear from it!!!

I am not aware of any full-time 2 year course .... but I know of a good Private school - National Inst of Photography (NIP) in Dadar, Mumbai. Prof Manohar Desai teaches many different kinds of part-time photography courses over 2-3-4 month periods. Some people do several courses with NIP stretching over 1-2 years. I myself did a short, full-time, 1 week course with him. He was good.
