Lens compatibility

I have an old SLR camera (Canon AE1).
I plan to attach to it a zoom/telephoto lens.Is an Autofocus lens compatible with this camera?
What is the likely market price of a tamron 28-200 or 70-300 lens?
thanks

That camera uses FD mount lenses, which are all manual focus. The camera doesn't have the circuitry or the processors to manage autofocus.
