Kodak Z980

Any feedback on this camera? Internet reviews rate it better than Nikons P90.

I was considering it for its 24x optical zoom.

Olympus 590UZ which has a bigger i.e. 26x zoom does not have particularly good reviews.

Umm no, but then someone should come along. Is this a SLR?

No, its a prosumer. I dont want an SLR as its too cumbersome to carry and change lenses while on a long walk. I have a Sony H9 which is fine, but I would prefer a bigger optical zoom.

There are some reviews on that link but who knows if they are genuine or not, thats why I wondered if anyone here has actually used this.

Thanks Nick. Just going through the second link, I notice another similar camera, the Pentax X70 also with 24x optical, but the screen size is 2.7 compared to Kodaks 3". Will go through these links in detail later. Thanks again.
