Hey, I travel very often and visit places. I am very much interested in photography (all types-wildlife,landscape,etc).
I am a beginner however, still interested in a DSLR. I also have a very limited budget. Can anyone please suggest a complete SLR package with lens etc..within 50K? I know its tough,,,thn whts the alternative.

Try Nikon D40 with 18-200 lens..Or Canon 350D ..both are starting level SLRS..

Yeah, the D40x is perfect for a beginner. And if you have 50k to spend, I suggest you get yourself a nice lens. The sharper the lens the more professional your photos will look.

Sorry guys!!!! I went home yesterday nd got a gud bashing frm my wife whn I sd dat I'll spend 50K odd for a camera.
However, I'd still go ahead, bt this time with a smaller budget of around 30K which I have hidden aside nd she is nt aware of.
Please suggest me a gud piece and a gud lens along with the standard one provided with the camera. I need something which can cover all from wide angle to telephoto. I have someone known to MM Photography.
I would appreciate if someone can give the tentative price alongside the camera model and the lens.

Srinjoy,

Sorry to burst your bubble. I would suggest that you first research cameras, their prices and their features before you blindly ask for models and prices.

Cheers

I did yaar, and saw that a Nikon D60 + a Nikon AF-S 18-55mm DX VR G ED Lens + Sigma or Tamron 70-300mm Macro Lens, which almost completes my requirement, costs around 55K in actual market price with 2 yrs dealers warranty. Just wanted to know how much would the whole package be for in the grey market.

Mod Note:

Good you have a 'gud deal' Srinjoy - but somehow your thread escaped our attention. I have editted your title to make it good English without SMS abbreviations in it, and may we ask you in your future posts not to use SMS language please? Full English is the language of this forum so that all members from many different countries can understand the posts - spell your words in full from now on.

Hey,
Sounds good. Just a small needle, if you have the Nikkor VR 18 - 200 which is a great lense why retain the horrid kit lense ie. The 18 - 55. Return that right away and buy / exchange it for mbd60( I think) grip with extra battery.
Congrats and cheers

As you can see panu, it is now in the Photography forum! My initial thought was a Kolkata member might guide him to where to buy his camera, since he's from Kolkata.

Now that he's got his camera, and it's becoming a discussion re camera etc. I have moved the thread.
