I am a 20 year old student living in New Delhi, with a growing zest for photography. However I do not have a good camera or any professional training, I would like to know where from can I get such training since I'm intrested in Art Photography, Nature and People.
Also what would be the ideal digital camera for a start, I have a budget of about Rs. 20,000. Manual or Automatic? If so, which one? Hope someone will take out a little time to point me in the right direction. Warm Regards, Miraan Punjabi ![]() |

I guess you should check out YMCA, they do have photography courses..
And rather than taking a decision on which camera you buy based on our advice..you should consult the teacher that you would select.. |

someone suggested Triveni Kala Sangam to me but they start their courses only in January, also any basic idea about the fees involved would help a lot. Thanks!

My dear Punjabi be practical, just buy a used point and shoot camera (Digital)preferably with some manual controls (you can get one easily at 4000-4500. Now start clicking and getting some technical info about the Cam and Art/Science of photography. Next step will be to become a member of some online discussion group like one at JJM. Only then decide on spending 20000/- or so because the options in this field are so many that no novice without some serious knowledge can understand the science.
Just get the cheapest digital and start clicking. And get back after one year on this forum, you will be given advice.
