Help : 1 GB SD Card

Will a 1GB SD Card work with my SHARP Digital Camera? It has presently 16 and 64 MB SD Cards, will higher capacity cards be supported?

why wouldn't a larger card work if the memory type were the same?

Not sure, but recollect reading on some camera forums that higher capacity memory cards may not work on some older cameras.

What is the model number of your camera?

The VE-CG40U stores it data on removeable SD (SecureDigital) flash cards. Sharp supplies a 16MB SD card and states that you can use up to 128MB SD cards - we used a SanDisk 256MB SD card and experienced no problems.
Not a lot of info on the 30 model but since the 40 is identical except higher megapixels my guess would be no

thanks MeCasa. That means support is unlikely, so i must get several 128MBs rather than single 1 GB. Or take camera to shop and see upto what capacity is supported.

it may work even if it isn't supported. just be sure to test it thoroughly before heading off.
