Gulmarg
Taken with the cheapest camera that I could find. This photo of the Gulmarg in Kashmir barely shows the sheer isolationism that one feels being there.

What time of year would this have been taken, Mike?
Mmm, the meadow of Gulmarg and the mountain view from there are really one of the treasures of Kashmir. Uncannily, if I blank out the shacks on the meadow and straggly power poles, it looks exactly like Tirol in Austria does right now. The light, the colour of the grass, the mountains... We travel all that way to come back to where we embarked from (or something). |

That photo I took back in Dec of 96. I live by the ocean so mountains thrill me and so did all of the monkeys that were at my backside when I took this pic
