DSLR on rent

Dear Members!!

Any reliable contact in Kolkata who can give DLSR's ( Olympus/Canon/Nikon ) on rent for few days.

100+ views but no reply!! Did I post something terribly wrong ?

Few of the members had tried earlier also but couldn't get good response!

BTW, did you try searching in Yellow Pages of telephone directory or googling it. Google has quite a few options.

Renting DSLR is certainly not the best option, apart from the security money, hassles and risks of using it in an open environment, you just don't get the feeling you will even get with your personal P&S and above all rent tend to be so high, its better to avoid renting it.

Hmm..but to get an idea on how the performances would be , to compare and above all to make myself comfortable , I thought renting could be handy option.

There are agencies which rent photography equipments to the professionals. The address could be collected from any high end photography studio.

I have strong feeling there must be such agencies in Kolkata also and hope you may get camera on rent there.

Renting of DSLR's & lenses is a developing business. There 2 - 3 Company's (or may be more) in Bangalore who rent camera's & lenses. Toehold is one them. Right now in Mumbai there are none, which could be the case in Kolkata also.

Sometimes it makes sense to try out camera's & lenses before buying & when you are going to use big lenses only for few days in a year then also it makes sense to rent the lens out.
