Chandni Chowk Photography Market

Has anyone tried the market (Grey??) for camera lenses in Chandni Chowk? Is it open on a Sunday? See this shot of Moon and Venus. The lens comes from Pritam Studio in Chandni Chowk. Does anyone else has bought stuff from the area?

Radz, thanks. I called Pritam studio and they said they are closed on Sunday. So will have to go on a weekday.

The only thing I can tell you about this place is that there were many stalls and small shops selling many camera components.

The one item that I had hoped to purchase was a carbon fibre tripod. The man in the store had one but not with him - he said it could be brought over for me to look at but "it's not cheap". The price was AU$200 - they retail here for around AU$400.

Not sure about lenses (availability or quality).

I guess you need to venture into Lala Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni Chowk area, that is the market that houses all electronic stuff, and I am sure you will find camera equipment as well. I got some Close Circuit cameras from there a month back.

but not the right day to go to Chandni Chowk...it will be all mucky, very difficult to walk..

And for me, being a entrepreneur has lot of advantages, but unfortunately I have taken them in excess in last few days

otherwise I would have hit one of the other highway by this time..

the photography shops are on the left side once you start moving toward sisganj gurdwara from lal quila........they are on the opp side just befor mcdonalds....

Try madanji there.....they are very reputable shop and i believe they will even guarantee the stuff for couple of months even if its grey........

if you are planning to go for lens, take ur camera along and click the shots and review them before buying.........

alternatively, u can also try jjmehta.com.......they will ship the lens to delhi and they are too very reputable

You can contact Mohan camera center!
I always deal with them, very reliable and helpful..
Search on google locals for their no.
The shop's inside the market:
Left side of the gurudwara road, right opposite to SBI bank and MCD's.
