Very nice of you.She has improved overall, eating a couple roti's and snacking on nutri balls and biscuits and moving about - though she knows to not stay out long because of the fly risk, so she spends most of the time under our bed.
The odema fluid burst and drained through a cut beneath the lower lip, squeezed out as much as possible, but that wound has become a large and very nasty hole because of the dead tissue and infected nature of the odema. Still the anti-bio jabs are hopefully getting on top of any infection. Though she could handle the sedation now, it's a toss up to try and get it stitched, by doing that one might seal in an infection and it could get worse??
My wife made a cardboard ruff for her neck to stop Phoebe scratching the wounds and constantly reopening the three particularly bad wounds, which is a big hassle. She looks very torn up indeed but the tail wags. What a Leopard can do in a moment with razor claws!

That's a great relief. Hopefully Phoebe will recover fast, now. All the best to her and
to your wife for making cardboard ruff for Phoebe!

Oh thank you - Too gruesome to post any pic. She needs surgery really, which is impossible locally, the nearest vet clinic is Dehradun 5/6 hrs away - if the road is open. The odema which was there for several days has rotted the skin under the jaw and into the neck, a large area. But fortunately all seems clean enough and she's still on the anti-biotics along with oxytetracycline anti-bacteria shots.
Very bloody worrisome, anyhow going to contact an animal hospital today and maybe make the charge to Dehradun with Phoebe and straight into surgery in the next couple of days.

Phoebe, heartbreakingly, didn’t make it home.
The odema infection had spread too far and damaged too much of her lower jaw and throat, there was nothing to be done to repair the huge wound. Tail wagging to the last, she lay calmly for her jab, and was asleep in seconds.
