Woodland Shoes # G 40777 A
Woodland Shoes # G 40777 A
After an extensive search on the net, I have observed that most people advise purchasing Woodland Shoes # G 40777 A (http://woodlandworldwide.com/productdetails.aspx?id=12) for trekking.
I am planning to visit the Himalayas and will have to go through some mountain passes where snow will be there.
I do not intend to walk across them but use a vehicle to cross the passes.
I will certainly want to make a halt and play in the snow whilst there.
Are the above shoes suitable for such usage?
Do I need to carry an additional pair to cover the eventuality that the pair on becoming wet may not dry for use?
Lifestyle at Hyderabad is having a season end sale at the moment and the shoes which are normally priced at Rs. 2,795 are available for Rs. 2,515.
Thanks for the advise!!!

I agree. They look like they'll do the job. In terms of bringing another pair to wear, I suggest that you do. If your other shoes get wet, it would be nice to have a dry pair to switch two. And in general after lots of walking, it is good to change out your shoes every so often..
this will help, :)
I returned from a trip to ladakh, with plenty of trekking on snow, frozen river, rocks. These shoes are good, durable they are, and on snow, you don't slip wearing them,
but while walking on frozen ice, you tend to slip, but thats a part of the expedition, and you learn to walk with time (on ice)
it is unlikely to encounter frozen ice except on glaciers, and for the rest, these are the best (value for money)

Hi Deky,No shoe shop (at least those I have visited) are aware of Quecha while Woodlands are available everywhere.
I have seen them available on www.koovs.com but I do not want to buy online.
Wish someone could guide me with the name of a shop in Hyderabad which stocks Quecha Forclaz 500!
