Water Bottle Carrying Strap

I bought a couple of water bottle carrying straps for my daughters to carry around India and they worked out really well.

A few people including a couple of IndiaMikers have asked about them after reading my blog article about them so I thought I'd post the details up here.

It's just a single adjustable strap that has three elasticated bands that the bottle fits in side. It fits different sorts and sizes of bottles that you can buy on the street and everywhere.

I got them on eBay, like this , two for £6.11 - about 430 rupees - including delivery from Malaysia. See this item for more details

Rs. 430 is too much for this.

We find such bottles locally and we pay not more that 100 bucks.

I think its the Shipping cost.

anyway, I am glad it came handy, its a pain to carry water bottles.

We have an insulated water carrier, bought in UK some years ago. I have no idea now what it cost, but probably not much more.

The great advantage is that it not only slows down the warming up of your water, if it started out chilled, but prevents the formation of gallons of condensation on the outside of the bottle.

Not if you buy it in the UK. You're right though, the postage costs were more than the two carrying straps.

We almost took ones like yours that we use at home but I have trouble with the youngest daughter who doesn't drink enough. I wanted a way of keeping an eye on her intake during the day.

These worked out well, so simple and no weight or bulk to carry in the suitcase.

The water warms up quicker than an insulated one but we combatted this by only taking out half full bottles if we knew we'd be able to buy more cold bottles elsewhere, or by taking out a frozen bottle for refilling that was carried in a backpack - by my wife

Thanks to Oceantragic; I got 2 from ebay/Malaysia today. I think they will come in very handy we will use them for walks here and on our trip to India later this year. On walks we are forever stopping, taking off the backpack and searching for the water bottles - our 2 kids never seem to want a drink at the same time. Yep - these are great.
