Probably, if you fly from the north to the south.

Got back from India in December with my son who just turned 7 and daughter who just turned 4. My son had a great time! We were in Ahmedabad with family and then down to Kerala for a week of holiday with relatives. I suppose it could depend on child's personality but he really enjoyed most things we did. In Kerala we were up in mountains to Munnar and then down to lake Vembananad and did the houseboat thing/visited Cochin. Just remember to spend a few more minutes thinking of them and finding a place to let them run and use up energy then you would do on a trip without kids. Ride all animals and vehicles you can think of and visit playgrounds, take a dip in the pool if you have one. If it does not smell chlorinated enough try to keep them from going under. If we had a pool my kids wanted to be in it. Could not resist, although my daughter has a tendency to drink too much water. We could be anywhere in the world and they would love the pool. My son has eaten Indian food at home and when we were there he found it considerably spicier then here - even sometimes things as simple as spaghetti. But we still found things he liked along the way. Now back home he does not find spicey food spicey at all. Kind of interesting.
Wish we could go back. Would do it again in a minute, and perhaps next year or the one after......Rajasthan would be nice. |

On the other hand, Indian people like children so any help with the kid stuff... food, stroller etc will be easy to find. Oh and dont be paranoid if random people wave at your baby, touch him ... as in sqeeze the cheeks or ruffle up hair, sing songs to him, give gifts and all that jazz.
