Great for cleaning the undersides of dirty pans while camping (you can always tell the old boyscout ).

When I first came to france I was a little troubled at not being able to find my regular Blue tac until it dawned on me..... in france Bllue tac is Yellow!
I commonly call it Yellow tac but it is called Pate a fix as Frederica found in germany, it makes sence too.

Brillo pads, great until they started to rust! And in my house they were used until they were very rusted!

Now that I think of it, they were completely biodegradeable...bring 'em back (down with plastic!)

Sometimes I feel like I'm stoned when I read some of these threads! :-) Interesting how they bounce around!
I've seen the blue stuff referred to as Dapp in Wallyworld. Yeah, whatever happened to Brillo pads anyway? They lasted FOREVER! Even when they were falling apart and all rusty, they still had soap in them! How'd they do that?!

while you're in the stationers' stocking up on blu-tac, you could also pick up some invisible sticky tape - i found it very useful for repairing ripped bank notes... you will be able to pass it off to the most astute rickshaw driver without him seeing the join!

It's a lot neater than duct tape to stick your FM antenna to a picture frame so that stations won't fluctuate as much.
