sleeping bag-- last minute! take or leave?

LAST MINUTE QUESTION!

k- i am going to be in ladakh living with a family and vounteering for 2 1/2 months
not doing any serious trekking excursions

then i am backpacking through the south for a month and a half

SHOULD I TAKE A SLEEPING BAG?
i have one of those easily deflatable/packable ones, but it still takes up a lot of room

and since i dont thikn ill need a warm sleeping bag in the south..
and in the north a blanekt will be provided..

the only thing i might need it for is 2/3 day hikes..

should i take it or leave it?

i decided to ask the forum-that-saved-my-trip....

Nah ditch the rucksac if your only going to need it for 2-3 days. In ladakh I'm sure you can buy-hire one for next to nothing!!

You can survive very well without a sleeping bag! Save the space/weight for something else.... like a fleece T-shirt.

If not seriously trekking then ditch the sleeping bag.

Even if you have post arrival change of mind, lotsa sleeping bags on hire in Leh.
