regarding Storage...is costly gear safe?

I too will be looking to store gear in Dehli.

Would it be advaisable to store (within a large duffle) , like a $350 pack, $200 down sleeping bag, $200 boots for the mountains, etc. or is there some expectation of possible loss?

Any further suggestions of good storage places in Delhi would be most appreciated.

thank you,
Shawn

do they even have storage places in Delhi? A few years ago, even the hotels would not let a cousin of mine leave her luggage for a few hours. Something to do with terrorism..

You should have no problem leaving your bags with a hotel
Some stores also hold bags for you and if you really can't find anywhere, then leave it at the left luggage in the railway station

As for the risk of terrorism ...The first i've heard that and I left bags in delhi after 9/11 and the assault on the parliament ...I obviously dont look like I have a death wish
