Hi All,
I'm moving out to Gurgaon in a couple of months. I DJ a bit and will be shipping out my records and also quite a few DVDs etc. My shipping company have warned me that Customs can be strict with music and films containing swearing, violence, sexual content etc. I'm not bringing anything outrageous but I do have a fair amount of hip-hop which is going to obviously include some of the above. Can anyone advise if there is a real risk that these might be confiscated and that I would therefore be better off leaving these behind or if it's one of those things that's prohibited in theory but not really enforced in practice? I have noticed that most of these things are available to buy in India so it seems a bit odd to me that they wouldn't let me in with them on moral grounds! I've also got a fair amount of music stored on my hard-drive that may fall into these categories. |
