Recommended Voltage Converter
Greetings all. Moving to Hyderabad in 3 short weeks and am toying around with the idea of bringing over my 110V (US bought) stereo receiver and speakers so I can have a bit of music in the my new place plus have a place to hook up a DVD player and TV (both of which I'll buy in HYD). I obviously don't want to do this without a fairly robust adaptor/voltage convertor and a power surge protector. Does anyone have a recommended model that you have used to step down voltage for devices such as a home stereo? Does a combination unit exist that is both a voltage convertor and surge protector? Just googling is bringing back a lot...so I'm specifically looking for any personal experiences (good or bad).
Thanks! VP. |

Stepdown transformers (220 - 110V)are available in India. There are no nationwide brands. But the local electronic store should be able to provide one with warranty.
