power points
Does anyone know whether the European type powerplug with 2 round thingamies will work in Indian powerpoints?
Thanks Kipling |

Yes, it works fine. The Indian power sockets are based on the old British round-pin connections - 5 Amp (two holes) and 15 Amp (three holes). The European plugs are a wee bit tight in the 5 Amp ones (but OK if your plug is bendy plastic) and a bit loose in the 15 amp ones. Normally, you'll only find the 15 Amp sockets in bathrooms.
Look here for pictures of the beasts in question.
