Please help me pack (n00b)

Hi,

First trip to india and I dont know what to pack, I'm travelling to following places and staying there for:

1. Delhi 4 days
2. Haridwar / Rishikesh 1 day
3. Gujarat 5 days
4. Porbandar 5 days
5. Mumbai 6 days

please advise above where I will req a jacket? jumpers? t shirts? jeans? sandals? three quarter length bottoms and trainers?

Also I am thinking of taking mosqi products for rooms I sleep in, mosi wrist bands and mosqui soother for any mosi bites I get - is that ok or a bit obessive? Please advise?

I am taking a large suitcase as mum's packing it full for relatives over there, got no choice there I'm afraid.......

thanks

In Delhi and Haridwar you'll need a fleece jacket+ sweatshirt for the evenings less so in the southern part of your journey.

Jeans will be fine in the North But these are heavy and take a long time to dry bear this in mind!!

Other than that a couple of shirts a couple of T shirts and some light cotton trousers. Sandals or training shoes is fine, you don't really need sandals in December I would go with the training shoes!!

You can buy a great plug in Mozzie zapper in India it's by a company called Goodknight there are also good anti-mozzie creams, I use Mosfree and find it very effective!!

Hi Xirox
\Good to see your trip has been sorted.
re clothing in my opinion....for the first 2 places pack as you would for London in November for day and Dec/Jan for night. Delhi can be very cold at night in the winter especially as there is no central heating. Small hotels should have the use of bar or fan heaters.
for the last 3 places ...during the day ,it could be as hot as the hottest day in London in the summer but will cool down considerably at night ,especially around Gujrat.
If you are planning to go clubbing / partying etc in Mumbai , feel free to take some fashionable clothes.
does that help??

I never bother with sandals but I guess if it's 35C then you might want to use them yourself, it may well cool off a tad though!!
