Parcel Posting- The Bulk Bag

Seems there's a new(?) international shipping service at the post office called the Bulk Bag. Does anyone have experience with this? Apparently you can send 5kg for Rs 350 anywhere in the world (Rs 100 per kilo) but I am not sure whether it is for companies or diplomats or whether anyone can use it.

But it works. Most of the post office guys dont know about this service. You have to tell them to check under 'Sea Mail' to find this option.

Best thing would be to go to GPO and book it. Price is very affordable.

Yes recently a friend of mine sent a bulk parcel to her home town through India Post. It is cheaper but may take longer time. However pl. don't put any precious / valuable items to avoid pilferage.

Greetings from China! I would like to order some tea from India and send to China. Do you have any idea whether I can send through Bulk Bag and how much would it cost, 1KG/2KG. The vendor suggested Speed Post, I think it cost too much. Do you have any suggestion for the cheapest way? Thanks for your kind reply in advance!
