in india...you will pay every kilo in your bag with a very high price...a heavy bag will decrease drastically your phisical and mental energies....best tip pack only medicines,passportand money...you'll find whatever you need for a ridiculous price

Many travellers seldom even pick up their own bags after leaving the airport!

All you need is what you are wearing now and your ticket to India. You can buy everything cheap there. And take a extra bag You´ll need it!

Actually, it might be a good idea if you don't want to carry much personal stuff to look around and find a charity that might like something from your home country to use that cargo space you have already paid for. My friend carried a whole encyclopaedia for a school in two big plastic containers on his last trip. It's pretty easy to find porters anywhere in India.
The problem is horsing luggage around yourself in airports when you leave. Everything gets more difficult once you leave India. Enough to make a person want to tun around and go right back. |
