Sorry this is such a pathetic question! Just trying to decide what to pack and can't decide so any advice v much appreciated....
We are setting off mid november and spend three weeks in Delhi, Rajasthan (Ranakpur, Pushkar, Bundi) then safari at Kanha national park and back to Delhi via agra... I'm planning on taking a woolly jumper and also a light fleecy thing which cuts wind etc out quite well - is this overpacking or am i likely to need both? Also I'm not planning on taking a waterproof as not expecting much rain and think I can buy something quite easily if it does indeed rain - have i got this right?! (I am taking other clothes as well- dont worry i wont be semi naked the whole time, just cant decide about jumpers!) Last question - is there any point taking a medical kit thing with clean needles / syringe etc in? I've karted one around Africa before but never really seen the point.... Thanks anyone who replies - I really do appreciate it! Rix ![]() |

Stay with your plan, ie take both tops but don't bother about the water proofs. Can't see the point of taking a full medical kit as you aren't going off the beaten track. Have a great time, safe travels.

I agree with Mabsentt - it actually won't be cold during the day, only at night will temps drop - take both your items and if it should suddenly do a temp plunge (very much doubt it mid-November on) then you can put on both. Delhi first week in December will probably be your coolest place. As for medical kit - doctors and hospitals in most places you are going. Supplies are readily bought at medical stores here. When I travel I just take personal medications (asthma stuff), a few Band Aids for emergencies and a bottle of tea tree oil as a disinfectant. There is probably a thread here in the Health Forum on what travellers take.

I endorse the above view. As for medicine, I always carry immodium, aspirin, Ciplox TZ, mosquito repellent, brufen, some sprain relief balm, band aid, gauze and dressing. I have never had a journey where I have not used at least two of these. What is the harm in carrying a small packet. But plan to pick them up in Delhi as it is cheaper here. Also be a dviced that the Pushkar Cattle fair is scheduled for 17th to 24th November. You can plan to be there during this period.
