Packing for 3-month trip incl. some trekking
Hi,
was wondering how to pack for a 3-month trip to India (August-October) involving, besides visiting low-lying regions, some moderate trekking in Ladakh and possibly other Himalayian regions. How warm clothes do we need for Ladakh in September? Are fleece jackets enough? Do we need gloves or hats? What temperatures should we expect? Sleeping bags? Mattresses? As the trekking will make at most one third of our stay in India we've decided to minimize the ammount of trekking-only gear, but we still want to strike a right ballance between take-it-from-home vs. rent/buy-it-in India. Any suggestions where such a ballance is for the above trip profile? Thanks, [dzekyl] |
