Only going for a fortnight

Hi guys, spent a lot of time reading through the topics trying to get an idea of what/how to pack. I am going to India in early March for a wedding and will only be there for 2 weeks, so what size of backpack/rucsac is suitable for that timeframe. Considering that I live in London, I think I have very little clothing that will be suitable for 31 degree celsius weather so I do plan to do some shopping once I get there to pick up suitable attire. In terms of travel, I will mostly be in hotels I guess and using a car/hired van to take me and the rest of the group around. Any specific advice to consider?

Whoops, sorry about that, going to Rajasthan. Wedding in Neemrana, then probably do a little travelling around the rest of the state for a short time (around 8 days or so). Have to rush back to work unfortunately!!
