Hi,

Please help, i've been told shorts are fine for the hills but a guidebook told me to wear trousers incase i go through long grass and there are snakes..............i am not a snake fan so any advice?!

Also, what sort of shoes do you wear for walking around Delhi, and are 3/4 shirts ok?

High boots would be the thing in snake country - but snakes and high grass doesnt really add up for me in Northern Himalayas - where exactly are you going ?

In Delhi they`ve seen it all - look out for the poo-slinging shoeshiners around the Connaught , thou

Just shuffle your feet & make a noise if you find yourself or think you're in snake areas, they'll soon slither off out of your way,,,,

Snakes feel vibration
When you walk make sure you clump your feet they'll feel it before you ever see them and will make off ...

50 Rupee flip flops will do the job in Delhi ..or comfy shoes that you'll wear in the himmies or just an old pair of trainers
