Mosquito net with door in it?

hi all

I've been trying to find info on this but not got anywhere...

Im going to Kerala for a trip on the backwaters and was wondering if the net I have will be ok. It has a large overlap at one end that creates a means of getting in and out. So far we have just overlapped the material and tucked it in really tight but now that I'm going somewhere where is there is a greater risk of being bitten, do you think it would be better to have a net without a "door"?

btw - we go in a couple of weeks.

If you are worried that the mossies will get in through the door and that the overlap has not been tucked in....spray the overlap with mosquito repellent. In anycase i always ligtly spray the net corners with repellent and just to be doubly sure spray my hands and ankles lightly with the repellent. Buy odomos in india, its a cream and i find quite effective and very cheap. That way you got all bases covered. To make life even more miserable for the blighters use a coil or those electric repellants in the room.

Stitch velcro around the overlap if you want to make it secure!

I think the door is a good idea,

thoughtful . . . but the mosquitoes will be able to get in without it
