Just one more dumb question

First time traveller here and i am wondering whether i should concider leaving things like my Leather jakcet at home, my outback hat made from leather etc. since there is the cultural attitude strongly against such items.

Neway ne idea's on this would be terriffic,

Carrying a leather jacket (/hat) is not a problem. You wont be offending anyone. It's very hard to offend Indians.

As a side note, India is one of the highest exporters of leather goods including Jackets.

if you're going to be in a warm part of India, then is doesn't make sense. Anywhere south of Madhya Paradesh and you're unlikely to need in for the next three to four months
