I know I'll want a mosquito net, but what do people think of this >> travel tent?<< I'll be staying in budget places, so it'll keep away all bugs and dodgy looking bedding and let me sleep in complete peace, and also eliminate net hanging hassles
A good idea?Lance |

When and where are you going? Mosquitoes won't necessarily be a problem.

Hello sting,
To answer your ? about the skeeter defeater,Im 6 ft and about 215lb.I fit in there pretty good I dont have a mile of space. But there is enough room for me in there to turn on my side with out hitting the net.Its also high enough for me to sit up in the lotus position with out hitting my head on the net.have a great trip and good luck. Instead of a net? It is a net!
Looks great. I seem to remember someone recommending it? But expensive.

It doesn't look like it would pack easily! I think mosquito coils and good old repellant are highly underrated

I have something similar, and have made great use of it on several trips. Especially useful when staying in places here conventionally rigged nets are available but useless due to existing holes, or not feasible (e.g. hanging) involve driving nails or screws into walls - which just about covers most places I've stayed in India.

I do think it looks great: I looked for years in London shops for a free-standing (rather than hanging) net and never found one.
I like the look of the 'floor' material extending up the side: yes, they do bite through the net! |

Never used one - even at home but have seen it - just wondering if NET can be a better option then other things such as good mosquitto repellents instead..
well I was amazed to read the topic... instead of Net ..LoL FreeBirD |

Good Idea?
I looked at it and actually think that it would give great protection and good piece of mind to those that need it
... I'll stick to the more conventional methods of protection when having a snooze in the Subcontinent. |

Do you think a couple could sleep in something like that? My husband and I have a net (that I made back in college!) that fits over the bed of my truck for sleeping on the road but I don't know if that's a real solution for when we move to India longterm.....
