Arrow Is $20 / day enough for a solo female?

I am from Hyderabad, South India. Trust me, I am not a Travel Agent, Broker or any thing for that matter. I love tourism and try to help tourist and guide them as far as possible.

I am afraid that Rs800 (ie US 20 dollers approx) would be a little bit difficult considering, rail fare (Second Class Sleeper Fare), Local Transport, Three times food (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) and Sight Seeing fares by Local transport viz Bus / shared auto / train and economical accommodation.

Secondly, there are almost no single bed rooms and hotels offer rooms as single occupancy but the tariff is usually 70%-80% of normal room tariff. If you are a member of YOUTH HOSTEL, you can stay with them, which is quite economical and they have dormitary accommodation. Only thing is that you have to be cautious about your luggage. YOuth hostel (GOvernment of India) is quite well, wide spread all over India and the tariff is nominal. Thirdly, if you are a member of YMCA, you can stay with them for a nominal charges, but they are usually in big cities.

Hence it is better if any TWO members are travelling together, so as to share ROOM RENT, AUTO FARE etc.

Thirdly, two people travelling together helps in keeping track of luggage, enquiry about the tour, journey, booking tickets and lot many things.
