What sort of clothes do I need to bring for hill regions and the Himalayas in June?

How much do I need to bring and what can I obtain in India.

Which areas do u intend visiting in the hill regions? What altitude? June is usually V.V.VERY hot in the north indian plains. Most hilly regions are pleasant during the day, needing just a light vest/cotton t-shirt under and a shirt. Places like mussorie can even get to be a little warm during the day. The evenings can dip to cold and u would need a sweater, jacket. If u r on the north face of the hill it'l be colder.
The point is to carry as little as possible, because u'll find warm clothes and boots a bother to lug around whilst travesing the plains which could be around the 40 degree celsius mark. And also u would get just about any or sufficient warm clothes should u need them when in the hills...and cheap too.

Places such as Rishi kesh and a little higher are actually hot, at times, during the afternoon, in june.
All in all a light jacket, a pair of shorts, jeans, t-shirt/kurtas and u r set! And the rest u can pik up in the hills...a couple of hundred rupees for a nice pull-over.
