Hi,
ICICI Bank /Credit Card in association with vPOSTAsia www.vpostasia.com has lauched a service by which u can buy stuff from USA (www.amazon.com) and it will delivered directly to address in INDIA. Steps 1) Register yourself at vpostasia.com you will given a ID like IX013456 2) Purchase @ amazon.com and shipping address will be vpost office in Oregon ,USA with your name and ID on top in order to identify. 3)Pay to vpost shipping charges and it will come to india . Shipping rate are on weih basis and is given on vpostasio website. Now the question is if we buy gadgets do we have to pay Customs ? |

There is no reason why not
.In my experience in UK, stuff sent by normal post gets random checked: sometimes one is lucky, sometimes not. However, the private couriers always collect the customs, and their fee for doing so.
