goods to barter

Not sure if I'm in the right spot here. Many years ago I went to India and everyone took various things to barter and sell to well off Indians .e.g. baseball caps , old denim jeans, alchohol, watches, that sort of thing . Is all that a thing of the past or is that culture still alive ? If so, what is good to take nowadays. Sorry if I sound like a fossil. When I was there you really could live on a dollar a day.

Baseball caps from AUS WGF I dont know which era you are referencing to ? 1950 ? 1960 ? Couldnt be '70s definitely not '80s.

Yes ! its fossil-era construction-of-reality

i wouldnt bother. no one is going to pay for quality goods. such is case in most of asia.

india has opened up markedly. just type "indian shopping malls" into google.
