What type of clothing is required for the hill regions in June?

One sweater will do, as the rain brings the cold with it, in the hills. Though not an item of clothing, make sure you carry an umbrella.

Polartec is ideal, as it is light and dries very quickly. But it depends on how high you're going. Kodaikanal or Ooty in June, for example, aren't going to be cold, merely mild.
