Clothes for Rajasthan in Early October?

I am wondering it is still gets cold at night in Rajasthan during first 2 weeks of October. Do I need long sleeves, jeans and jumpers or is it humid and hot still in the evenings?

From what I understand it can be still warm durign the day but cool off substantially in the evenings (particulalry if you head out form the towns into the desert).

I would suggest (as a trekker of many years) that you look at the layer principle... take a couple of items of each layer and the puth them on (or take them off) as the need arises.

By layers, I mean - a base layer; middle layer and outer layer.

Base is what is close to your skin (can mean thermals or just T-shirts (go for some of the new materials that keep you cool / warm and wick away moistuire).

Middle are things that prevent heat loss by blocking out wind and allow moisture transfer to the outside to keep you dry.

Outer layer is really for wet and wind, and is usually wind and waterproof, but opnce again with wicking ab iliyt to get your persipration away from the body.

The advantages of layering, is that you don't have to have too many different items and that you can mix and match to meet your needs.

Hope this helps.

Might pay to carry something that has sleeves, though. Some people have a low tolerance to temperatures, so it is up to the individual.

If you need, there will be placesto make purchases reasonably cheaply.
