Which three months will you be there? You might want to buy and break in a pair or two of comfortable walking shoes before you leave for India. Also consider a small first aid kit, and shower shoes (plastic thongs).

I would lose the sleeping bag and add a first-aid kit. The latter is off course possible to put together when you arrive in India. In any case: if you find out that you need something you can probably get it in India.

Yes I agree that a first-aid kit of some sort should be included. You might want to consider taking immodium, rehydration sachets and possibly antibiotics (although I guess you could also get them in India, but personally I prefer to know I have them on me if I need them).

In Norway you won't get antibiotics without a perscription. And I would certainly not take any without consulting a doctor..!

Don't even consider not taking the shades! You are heading for TROPICAL SUNSHINE. Take a good sunhat too.
Don't weigh yourself down with medicines you might never need, but have a sticking plaster and a headache tablet or two (which you might need on the plane...) so you don;t have to go out and look for them when you need them.

Gee this is like those team building games where teams are narrated a story of a shipwrecked crew in a lifeboat and given a list of things they have to choose from to carry with them till they are rescued....

mozzie repellent in tropical strength as well as a mozzie net. it is useful to have rollon and spray so you can cover all the bits.
have a wonderful trip. imodium - definitely. but you can buy it a lot cheaper in india. inflatable pillow if you need a proper pillow. most of the places i stayed in provided a thin brick, my travel pillow was one of the best things i took. |
