Can I Bring A Fruit Cake To India
Did she really think you couldn't tell the difference between a fish and a small plastic pot?
Marmite
Thinly sliced brown bread, butter, lemon, freshly ground black pepper, champagne cocktails, and a chain saw (for the cake.)

Rum is a unavoidable content for making traditional Christmas cake.
you used brandy it is ok , but you for get to add it while making also ok
But soaking the cake in the brandy and spoiling both sound stupid
You should bring both separate and give party to the active posters of inidamike
two liter brandy /whiskey is duty free

Bacon bits
If you are bringing bacon to your picnic, CD, then you should also bring prunes, to make "Devils on Horseback" by wrapping prunes in bacon and securing with toothpicks. Goes well with the champagne!

Ok, I'll bring a fruit cake, bacon, prunes and some scallops since we are doing bacon wraps. Lets see what customs has to say about that. The scallops should be pretty "ripe" after 24 hours in transit. Hopefully the bacon will cover up the smell.
I'll be clearing customs in Delhi next week so I'll see what they have to say if they discover the fruitcake in my checked bag. most likely they will just feel sorry for me.
