Buying prescription sunglasses in India

Hi guys, this is my first ever post on here. What a website this is, just lurking on here the last few weeks has helped me plan my trip no end. I'm off to India in mid July for the first time and I've read that a pair of decent sunglasses are a must out there. As I'm blind as a bat I'll need prescription ones- will I be able to get a decent pair out there (decent as in UV protected, not as in designer)? I've been told that normal glasses are available dirt cheap in India, does this apply to prescription sunglasses as well? Cheers in advance.

Had at least 4 pairs of prescription glasses made in different visits.Last lot Zeiss lenses, multiphocal, photogray(v?) antiscratch,antimist- maybe more in Kolkata and a lot cheaper than back home.
Ordering the lenses takes around four working days and fitting an hour or so.
Alltho I had my eyes checked at the shop maybe good idea to take your eye prescription with you just in case.
Good luck

Mumbai is my first port of call, that'll probably be where I am to purchase said shades.

Thanks. Got an up to date presciption that I was going to take regardless as I have a nasty habit of losing glasses/ having them trodden on so will probably have to hunt for replacements at some stage. Chances are my 6 month stay will coincide with boom time for the Indian glasses industry.
