Lightbulb Bring a Bottle Opener

Sounds silly to an Australia with the screw top revolution of the 80's but we needed a Bottle Opener the first day in Delhi and
it it the sort of item that can be surprisingly difficult to locate after you arrive.

... too

Just why I don't travel much.

After deciding which pocket knife to take comes the decision as to which suitcase to pack the entire toolkit in.

Every time I travel without an electrical testing screwdriver I regret it. Like this time!

I too am Australian. If you can't open a bottle without a bottle opener then you must be from the city.

In the bush we use a spoon, the blade of a knife, a coin, a can, a Log Cabin tobacco tin, the door of a car you name it.

Having said that you can buy the old fashioned cast bottle openers almost anywhere in India. I have half a dozen of them because I like them so much.

are we talking bottleopener or corkscrew here?

For a capped bottle, use a cigarette lighter as a lever or place the edge of the cap against the top of a table and give it a good hit on the cap ...
