Cool bikini versus one piece

Hmmm...I'm packing for my trip! I'm not sure if I'll be by water, but I figure I should take a bathing suit just in case. My question is whether it's better to take a one piece or a conservative bikini? What have other people done?

On the beach, Indian women bathe fully clothed.

If you wear a bikini, expect all the men from the village to gather around and watch you!

If you are at a hotel or resort, a swimsuit is fine, and a bikini is acceptable.

I normally go topless myself, but I have a figure that can take it... being male!

fully clothed--so I guess my sarong and an indian shirt? I think a wet shirt is more revealing than a bathing suit, no? So I guess I'll bring a "bathing outfit" with me

you'll get mobbed by locals at a local beach either way.
you'll be accepted at a pool either way.

Might want lose the thong, tho . . . . best let the IM Mullahs approve. Send pix

I have worn bikinis in Puri, people do stare. But they are quite harmless. In Puri the sea is pretty rough and I was the only one woman in the waves. Yes Indian women, most of who were in the water were fully clothed, pity, but two of them did have swimsuits.

And at hotels, depends, at Samode Palace in Rajasthan, after a couple of hours I did take off my top of my bikini... :-D

Hi,
A conventional/conservative outfit is preferable.
Care,
