Bed Roll
I've read in other threads that you need a bed roll for the trains, is this right do I need to buy one here to take with me?

If you are travelling 1AC, 2AC or 3AC then no, it is not true: you will be provided with a couple of sheets, a blanket, a pillow ---and a face flannel!

When not traveling AC class I have just used some sarongs to lay on. Don't forget the ear plugs!!!!! If you really want the delux experience in non AC then try the eye shade and ear plug combo. Then imagine yourself to be abord The Palace on Wheels.

Keeping the eye-shade they give you on the flight for your train trips is a really good idea...
