Backpacks, Meds & Gear

I need to pick up some gear for my trip and importantly a Backpack. My last pack was a Aussie made Mountain Designs which lasted me 12 years until my ex gf stole it. I also need to pick up some travel gear & Meds. Does anyone have any recommendations of places online that ship overseas?

Everyone who responds gets a beer on me at the next meet in Delhi which I plan to attend.

Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,

Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) has a good on-line catalogue; quality and prices very good. (approx present rate $1CDN = .75US or $1US = $1.33CDN)

Recreation Equipment Co-op (REI) is the American equivalent: prices seem a bit higher, but they do give a dividend on purchases (it was around 10% a few years ago when I last bought something from them)

Eagle Creek is a manufacturer of a high quality line of 'travel packs' which are widely distributed. They have a website and they list several locations in Hong Kong where there products are sold -- so you could have a look and check out the features.

lot's of interesting stuff out there since you bought your last pack -- good luck finding one to last you another 12 years!
