Backpack Size
Hi,
This might sound like a silly quesiton, but I've had problems with it before. I have a backpack, but it's kinda big (I forget the how many liters, but I think around 80ish. On the upper end of pretty much all backpacks). Now, I realize that's much bigger than I need, but hey, it's the one I have I'm not gonna run off and blow a bunch of money one a new one. Unless of course it will be a big problem. I guess what I'm asking is whether I'll have problem fitting it into luggage racks and places like that. |

hi there
i am in india at the moment and getting around with a 65lt and haven't had a problem at all. it fits under all the train seats with plenty of room to spare and also fits quite happily into auto rickshaws either at your feet or behind you (sometimes there is a parcel shelf kind of thing). can't say i have tried it on a bus but i think you'd be ok. a bloke i was travelling with for a couple of days had 80lt and he was fine. it might be bulky though if u try and zip your day pack on top and then shove it under the seat. better to keep them separate. hope that helps A

I've been using the 80l one that i bought the first time I went to India. It has turned out to be way too big, because I tend to fill up my backpack just because I can...

Hello ,we travelled with 90 litre packs without any problem. If yours is not jammed pack you will be able to reduce its bulk by pulling it in tighter. We managed to store ours on trains, buses etc, no worries, kindest cheers Carol

I use a 75lt that can extend out to 95 if need be. You never know when you might feel like buying something big!

60 litre. You just dont need bigger. If you buy stuff, just stash it in eg Delhi, or hold out till the end of your trip. I have a ultra packable duffel that I use when I bust through the 60L barrier.
