Availability of toiletries

I am trying to pack as light as possible. I figure I can get the obvious toiletries there. I was wondering about a few things like
antiseptic wipes, conditioners, deodorant though. I have pretty mild skin and sometimes productzs with a lot of dyes or perfumes bother my skin.

Basically what product do you wish you brought from home?

All that stuff is available, though brand choice is much more limited, and the range of available products varies by locale. There are more toiletry products for women than for men in India--India's beauty industry is pretty large.

I'm usually happy enough with Indian shampoos, soaps, toothpaste (they call it "dental creme"), and whatnot, but it's hard to find the hi-tech anti-perspirant I've come to rely on at home, so I pack it in.

Bring wipes with you, pretty expensive here. Conditioners, you get a variety so you won't have to go searching. Deos, just bring your brand with you, I don't see that much variety easily available unless you wouldn't mind Fa, Axe and Rexona.

Top tip!!!!
Milkyway since your a lady and as such don't perspire too much!! here is a great alternative to deos in India!!! Buy an Alumn chrystal!!! Us blokes know about this in India as the bartber uses it to disinfect our faces after a shave!!! (yep that thing you though was ice is in fact a alumn chrystal!!!)
This really works, even for blokes although we would probably have to apply it a bit more librally!!
what's more it's healthy all those deo sprays ain't really that good for you or the enviroment!!! And beware of fake brand names in this I've had deos that burnt my skin they were so strong!!!

Just like a deo stick, you have to wet it first so the surface gets kind of oily!!

For once in my life am gonna take a Fifer's suggestion and see how it goes but yeah quite seriously I kinda like that stone (that's what I call it) those barbers use here and even got myself a couple, very soothing I should say.

Bring your DEET/antimosquito stuff. I tried the Odonos and the mossies ate right through it.

They sell lots of brands of shampoo here and many also have conditioner. I've tried a few; none work as well as what I use at home, but the packets are cheap (Pantene is Rs 4) so it's cheap to try several.

It's too hot and humid for me to even think of using skin cream... or any sort of makeup. I have a lipstick and eyebrow pencil for formal "emergencies."
