appropriate feet

Hello, I'm off to India for the first time soon, and a friend of mine has given me some bizzare advice. She told me not to paint my toe nails or wear toe rings as this is seen as provocative of western women in india. Should i take heed?

I might have been given wrong info, but from what i was told, toe rings signify that you're married, so if you wear them men are more likely to leave you alone.....
Can anyone verify that?

Who Sayz That ???

Sorry to correct all of you but being an Indian I know the notion that you people have used to exist a decade ago but now it's not significant with getting married. Nail Polishing is rather more common in College going and unmarried girls these days in India. And I think they r sick nerds who bother ladies. Therefore if they r sick they r gonna trouble you whether u r married or not.
